•  Develop and execute sophisticated financial models to assess the value and risk profile of proposed investments across upstream, midstream, downstream, and energy transition projects;
• Participate in building and refining investment guidelines and evaluation frameworks to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and long-term portfolio value creation;
• Collaborate with business units and external advisors to prepare and challenge investment cases, conduct commercial and financial due diligence, and support Investment Committee decision-making;
• Track key financial and operational KPIs across approved projects, flag variances, and lead structured post-investment reviews to inform future capital deployment;
• Lead the consolidation and prioritization of investment proposals across the organization, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and facilitating the preparation of the annual investment budget;
• Manage and oversee the investment stage-gate process, ensuring rigorous compliance with SOCAR’s internal investment governance protocols and supporting decision-making at each critical review point;
• Develop investment briefs, decision memos, and presentation materials to support Investment Committee meetings.

• Master's degree in finance and economics;
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in finance, investment analysis, or a related field. Experience in the oil and gas sector and investment management is an advantage;
• CFA, FRM, or related certifications are an advantage;
• Theoretical knowledge in corporate finance and financial markets;
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically in "Excel"
• Advanced analytical and quantitative skills;
• Expertise in financial modeling and valuation techniques;
• Comprehensive understanding of industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory environment;
• Proactive and adept at problem-solving, anticipating, and resolving issues;
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively and develop junior team members;
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex projects and making critical decisions;
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written, in Azerbaijani and English.
