The School of Information Technologies and Engineering (SITE) at ADA University invites candidates of professional and scholarly accomplishment to apply for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor in Computer and Information Sciences in the framework of Bachelor of Science programs starting in the Spring and Fall 2026 semester. 

We are seeking dynamic, energetic, and entrepreneurial scholars with good research track record who have a desire to work collaboratively in an international environment looking for new challenges. Salary is contingent upon qualifications, and the hired faculty member is expected to teach undergraduate students.

Applicants in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Information Technology and other relevant areas will be considered. Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology; and should demonstrate a solid publication record and exhibit potential to establish a strong sponsored research program. Applicants must be committed to excellence in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels. 

School of Information Technologies and Engineering employs close collaboration with prominent universities in Europe and US offering joint and dual degree undergrad and graduate programs. Successful candidates may be able to spend time at partnering universities and take active part of the collaborative research and educational programs between universities.

Job responsibilities

• Commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate students;
• Designing courses, developing syllabi and instructional materials to ensure compliance with the SITE curriculum requirements and guidelines; 
• Providing quality instruction including stimulating analytical and critical thinking;
• Meeting all scheduled classes/labs and providing instruction in accordance with objectives of the approved course outline; 
• Providing meaningful and timely feedback on student assignments, hold regular office hours;
• Using the university’s student information system and learning management system;
• Providing exemplary service to the university and community.

Being able to teach some of the Major Core and Technical Elective Computer Science courses outlined in the Program of Study at https://www.ada.edu.az/en/schools/site/programs/computer-science (the teaching workload is 6 courses per academic year i.e. 10 months), including: 

• Database Management Systems (DBMS)
• Advanced DBMS
• Introduction to Big Data Analytics
• Data Mining, Data Engineering and Visualization
• Applied Data Analytics
• Programming Principles (C and Java programming languages)  

Required qualifications

• PhD or MS degree in Computer Science or other related fields from an accredited institution; 
• Experience designing and teaching similar courses in the degree program; 
• Experience in conducting funded research, and publications in major reputed peer-reviewed journals;
• Proficiency in spoken and written English;
• At least 1 year of teaching experience at an accredited institution, especially at the collegiate level;  
• Strong commitment to serving university and society.
