• Lead audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring compliance with BDO methodology and international auditing standards (IFRS, ISA);
• Develop a thorough understanding of clients’ businesses, industries, and internal control environments;
• Perform risk assessments and substantive audit procedures to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues;
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local regulations;
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance, feedback, and support for their professional development;
• Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to delivering value-added insights;
• Collaborate with managers and partners across BDO’s global network.

Additional Duties:

• Represent BDO professionally at all times through punctuality, conduct, and appearance;
• Maintain accurate records of time and project progress;
• Meet deadlines and deliverables in line with engagement expectations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Business;
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in external audit;
• Working knowledge of IFRS and international auditing standards;
• Fluency in Azerbaijani; advanced English required; Russian is an asset;
• Experience auditing clients across various sectors;
• Progress toward ACCA qualification (preferably completion of fundamental level exams);
