- Lead full-cycle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for multiple upstream assets (onshore and offshore), ensuring compliance with IFRS and
internal policies. - Prepare and review variance analyses, cost trend reports, and management dashboards on OPEX, CAPEX, and unit cost performance.
- Ensure accurate recording of revenue, entitlement, profit oil/gas, cost recovery, and tariff/transportation settlements.
- Lead the annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting process across all upstream projects.
- Work closely with subsurface, drilling, production, and operations teams to validate technical assumptions and cost estimates.
- Develop forward-looking cashflow forecasts, funding needs, and cost recovery timelines.
- Provide management with scenario analysis, sensitivity, and risk-adjusted forecasts.
- Coordinate financial interactions with JV partners, operators, and service providers.
- Review and validate monthly cash calls, billing statements and JV audit findings.
- Establish and monitor cost-control frameworks, including tracking of drilling, workover, and facility costs.
- Drive performance KPIs for the projects. • Implement continuous improvement in cost efficiency and resource allocation.
- Ensure adherence to IFRS, PSA, tax, treasury, procurement, and internal control requirements.
- Lead periodic internal audits, JV audits, and resolution of audit findings.
- Oversee bank reconciliations, cash allocations, intercompany settlements, and forex transactions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the team.

Tələblər
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields.
- Professional certifications preferred: ACCA, CPA, CFA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS (especially IFRS 6, IFRS 11, IFRS 16, IAS 37, IAS 28).
- 7–12+ years of progressively responsible experience in Big 4 and Upstream Oil & Gas finance.
- Direct experience with production accounting, PSA/JOA frameworks, cost recovery, and JV operations.
- Prior exposure to multi- asset upstream portfolios (onshore and offshore) is a strong advantage.
- Experience working with international operators or major IOCs/NOCs is preferred.
- Strong understanding of: o PSA/PSC commercial terms o Entitlement calculations o Cost recovery & profit oil mechanisms o Drilling operations cost structures
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Navision) and financial consolidation tools.
- High-level Excel, financial modelling, and data analytics capabilities.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to challenge
operational assumptions. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-project environments with strict deadlines.
- High ethical standards, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
- Leadership skills with ability to develop and guide multidisciplinary teams.
