- Independently supervise and manage lifting projects;
- Conduct toolbox talks according to area-specific Health & Safety rules and job requirements;
- Ensure proper documentation including toolbox talk sheets and work permits;
- Act as the Health & Safety (HSE) representative for assigned tasks;
- Ensure all QA and HSE paperwork is properly completed;
- Maintain overall responsibility for task execution, including safety of personnel, equipment, and the environment;
- Accurately complete and submit documentation at the start and end of each task;
- Coordinate with internal/external workers, contractors, and operations department;
- Verify that all equipment is fit for use, correctly assembled, and suitable for the task;
- Perform load testing, inspections, and repairs on lifting, pulling, securing, transporting, and general equipment;
- Inspect lifting accessories in accordance with LOLER regulations;
- Conduct inspections and testing of fixed lifting equipment (swing jibs, EOTC, davits, runway beams, etc.);
- Supervise assistants/helpers and ensure accountability for their actions;
- Complete and submit ORCA paperwork (certificates, time sheets, etc.) in a timely and accurate manner;
- Complete ORCA “Observation Cards” to identify hazards or good practices;
- Attend HSE meetings and fully comply with company PPE and safety policies;
- Follow instructions from senior staff and perform additional duties as assigned by management;
- Report any concerns related to health, safety, environment, or working conditions to the employer.
Tələblər
- Working knowledge within an Engineering or Oil & Gas industry environment;
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the lifting operation and inspection;
- Competent in the inspection of lifting equipment in accordance with LOLER and PUWER;
- Certified by the Lifting Equipment Engineering Association, LEEA part 1& 2 or an approved equivalent engineering qualification or experience and training;
- ASNT TC 1A level II, PCN (or recognized equivalent which complies with EN473) in MPI and DPI examination.
Skills
- Good attention to detail;
- Minimum 2-3 years work experience in relevant positions and Oil & Gas Industry;
- NDT (MPI / LPI) ASNT Level II certification;
- NDT (ECI / UT) ASNT LEVEL II certification – preferable;
- High education diploma in Engineering field;
- Knowledge of lifting equipment;
- Ability to spot problems and provide solutions;
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety requirements;
- Passion for machinery and the technical aspects of construction;
- Able to pick up technical systems quickly;
- High level of organisation and commitment to your work;
- In-depth understanding of general engineering.
