Bahar Energy Operating Company (BEOC) is seeking an experienced Offshore Site Investigation Engineer to support  the major offshore development project. The position will play a key role in defining, managing, and technically evaluating a comprehensive offshore site survey campaign, covering multibeam/bathymetry, side-scan sonar, geophysical, and geotechnical (borehole CPT, SCPT) surveys. The selected candidate will act as the technical authority for site investigation scope, contractor evaluation, and data quality assurance — ensuring survey results meet engineering and design requirements for upcoming platform, pipeline and drilling activities.

  • Develop and finalize the Scope of Work (SoW) for integrated site investigation campaigns, including multibeam, sonar, geophysical, and geotechnical surveys.
  • Lead technical bid evaluations (TBE) of survey contractors, providing clear recommendations on the most technically and commercially suitable bidder.
  • Review and validate survey methodologies, mobilization procedures, and equipment specifications (e.g., sonar systems, sub-bottom profilers, CPT tools, sampling equipment).
  • Oversee data acquisition, processing, and interpretation standards to ensure quality and consistency with project requirements.
  • Liaise with drilling, subsea, and structural engineering teams to align survey outputs with design needs.
  • Support contractor management during execution, including participation in readiness reviews, vessel mobilization inspections, and final report validation.
  • Advise the project management team on technical risks, mitigations, and data adequacy for engineering design.
  • Evaluate and approve survey quality assurance and control (QA/QC) plans, ensuring traceability, repeatability, and accuracy of all collected data.
  • Oversee data acquisition, processing, and interpretation standards, ensuring consistency and integration across all survey disciplines.
  • Participate in vessel mobilization and pre-survey readiness reviews, inspecting key survey equipment (e.g., MBES, SBP, CPT rigs, sampling tools) for compliance with contract specifications.
  • Monitor survey progress and performance, providing technical oversight and troubleshooting support during offshore operations.
  • Review and validate deliverables, including field reports, interpreted data sets, and final charts, ensuring adequacy for engineering, environmental, and permitting use.
  • Ensure proper integration of survey data into GIS and engineering databases, supporting later stages of design and construction.
  • Assess technical risks and develop mitigation strategies, providing expert advice to the project management team during planning and execution.
  • Coordinate interfaces between multiple survey contractors and engineering disciplines, ensuring coherent data coverage and avoiding duplication of effort.
  • Support permitting and regulatory compliance activities, ensuring survey methods and environmental controls align with local authority requirements.

Note: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Interested candidates can send their CV to the e-mail address in the Apply for job button.
