- Drafting, negotiating, analyzing and interpreting a broad range of international commercial transactions and related documents in the areas of the upstream, midstream and downstream oil & gas, green energy, international sale and purchase of goods and services, joint venture agreements, etc;
- Identifying and assessing legal issues and risks in international transactions and projects, recommending effective legal strategies for the management of such issues and risks;
- Advising on energy law (particularly oil and gas law), civil law, international commercial transactions, private international law environmental law, and related areas;
- Collaborating closely with others within SOCAR Legal & Compliance and other functions within SOCAR Group to recommend and help the businesses implement appropriate mitigation of risk and management of legal issues impacting the business.
Tələblər
- An LLM degree in commercial (business) law or related areas from reputable universities in the US, UK and EU;
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive legal practice (experience in the energy industry is an asset);
- Advanced knowledge in international commercial (business) law; Boad knowledge in public and private international law and international arbitration;
- Experience at a law firm in Azerbaijan or abroad is an asset;
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team in a global function;
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills;
- Proactive, with strong attention to detail;
- Demonstrates integrity, courage, and sound ethical judgment;
- Membership in Azerbaijan Bar Association or foreign bar associations is an asset.
