  • Under the supervision of the Head of IT, the IT Educational Services Specialist provides direct support in the planning, organization, and implementation of educational technology services. The role is essential in enhancing the technological infrastructure and digital literacy across the school, ensuring that educational programs are effectively supported.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical Support and Implementation:

  • Assist in maintaining and developing a robust technological infrastructure to support the educational programs.
  • Provide technical support to teachers, students, and staff regarding educational technology tools and systems.

Curriculum Integration:

  • Collaborate with the Head of IT and digital coaches to develop and implement IT curriculum plans for both primary and secondary schools.
  • Support teachers in integrating educational technology into the curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational objectives and benchmarks.

Policy and Procedures Development:

  • Assist in creating and implementing procedures and policies for IT educational services, including acceptable use policies.
  • Participate in the development and execution of the school’s multi-year technology plan.

Training and Development:

  • Conduct regular training sessions for faculty and staff on the effective use of technology in education.
  • Provide in-service sessions for parents to enhance their understanding of the school's technological tools and resources.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Serve as a point of contact for IT-related inquiries from faculty, staff, students, and parents.
  • Collaborate with the school’s Pedagogical Leadership Team to address issues related to technology planning and program coordination.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Assist in preparing reports on the development and effectiveness of IT educational services for the Head if IT.
  • Document and maintain records of IT support requests, resolutions, and training sessions.

Tələblər

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in educational technology support, preferably within a school setting.
  • Proficiency with network management tools and an understanding of emerging technologies.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Windows and Mac OS operating systems, including software applications such as Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and mainstream educational software.
  • Competency in mobile computing technologies, particularly iOS and iPad functionality.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking and current trends in educational technology.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Ability to work well with diverse groups and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, in Azerbaijani and English.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in using various educational technology tools and platforms.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
