Grant Thornton Azerbaijan is seeking Tax Consultants to join our Tax Accounting and Reporting team. 

A career within the Tax service line will provide you with an opportunity to work with a variety of clients from SMEs to large corporations in providing a range of outsourcing services. Intern will become involved with all aspects of the Tax accounting practice and will gain solid, hands-on experience. 

Job responsibilities: 

• Execute day-to-day tax and accounting tasks based on client requests and emails;
• Assist the Tax Senior/Manager in preparing tax reports and filings;
• Prepare supporting documentation for tax returns and ensure timely submissions;
• Perform bookkeeping activities, including recording financial transactions;
• Process payments on behalf of clients in accordance with their requirements;
• Follow instructions under the supervision of a Tax Senior and proactively support ongoing projects;
• Contribute to various outsourcing assignments and client engagements. 

• Citizens of Azerbaijan only; 
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel; 
• University degree (graduating students) in Finance/Accounting/Audit; 
• 1-2 years of accounting experience dealing with uploading accounting data into software, and preparation of draft tax returns for review. Good knowledge of accounting entries for various transactions (sales account, purchase account, tax accounts, payroll account, etc.); 
• Understanding of tax legislation and associated requirements; 
• Excellent knowledge of Azerbaijani. Intermediate or higher English. Russian is an advantage. 
• Motivated and self-driven, demonstrating eagerness to grow in a challenging environment, exhibiting initiative and a strong desire to learn.
