- Lead and manage multiple audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring compliance with BDO methodology and international auditing standards (IFRS, ISA);
- Oversee engagement budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to deliver high-quality audits on schedule;
- Develop a deep understanding of clients’ businesses, industries, and risk environments to provide tailored audit solutions;
- Perform complex risk assessments and review substantive audit procedures, resolving technical accounting and reporting issues;
- Review and approve financial statements prepared under IFRS and national regulations;
- Supervise, coach, and mentor audit teams, fostering professional growth and maintaining high performance standards;
- Maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and delivering value-added insights;
- Collaborate with Partners and Directors across BDO’s global network to ensure consistent quality and innovation.
Additional Duties:
- Represent BDO professionally at all times through punctuality, conduct, and appearance;
- Maintain accurate records of time and project progress;
- Meet deadlines and deliverables in line with engagement expectations;
- Ensure accurate documentation of audit work and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements;
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the audit function.
Tələblər
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field;
- ACCA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) or advanced progress toward full qualification required;
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in external audit, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role;
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, ISA, and good understading of Azerbaijani taxation;
- Proven ability to manage complex audits for clients across diverse sectors, including listed and international companies;
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills;
- Fluency in Azerbaijani; advanced English required; Russian is an asset.
