• Oversee day-to-day operations of the project forwarding department, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods
• Manage and coordinate transportation by sea, land, or rail, ensuring optimal routing, shipping methods, and cost efficiency
• Ensure all forwarding operations comply with customer requirements, legal standards, and company policies
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external service providers, including freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers
• Negotiate service agreements and contracts with external vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and high service quality
• Monitor and evaluate performance of third-party logistics providers to ensure service level compliance
• Implement and optimize forwarding processes to improve efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize transportation costs
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Stay updated on industry trends and integrate relevant innovations into operations
• Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including customs procedures, trade laws, and environmental standards
• Develop and manage risk mitigation strategies to prevent operational disruptions
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure that operational practices remain compliant
• Lead and supervise the forwarding team; provide coaching, guidance, and opportunities for development
• Set department KPIs, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure operational targets are met
• Foster a collaborative, professional, and high-performance work environment
• Serve as the main point of contact for key clients and stakeholders
• Address client needs promptly and ensure high customer satisfaction with logistics services
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to deliver tailored forwarding solutions
• Manage the forwarding budget, control costs, and ensure operational profitability
• Analyse cost structures and identify opportunities for savings and process optimization
• Ensure tasks are completed on time, within budget, and in line with service requirements
• Oversee preparation and maintenance of shipment documentation, including customs declarations and bills of lading
• Prepare regular reports on forwarding performance, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of all operational and compliance documentation
• Follow LV’s internal rules and Azerbaijani HSSQE regulations
• Report all HSSQE-related incidents or observations to the line manager and HSSQE representative
• Participate actively in HSSQE discussions and improvement initiatives
• Stop any work when unsafe conditions or behaviours are observed that could lead to an incident or accident

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
• 5–7 years of experience in logistics or project forwarding, including at least 3 years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of project logistics, customs requirements, and transportation operations
• Excellent project management, communication, and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office applications
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and results-driven approach
• Strong leadership capabilities and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in English
• Professional certifications such as PMP, CSCP, or similar are an advantage
