  • Conduct daily site walkthroughs and safety inspections of drilling rigs, production facilities, or construction areas to identify hazards.
  • Monitor the usage and condition of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all personnel.
  • Verify that environmental controls (waste management, spill kits, drip trays) are in place and effective.
  • Act as a key auditor for the Permit to Work system; verify that permits are correctly issued and that specified controls are in place before work begins.
  • Participate in Task Risk Assessments (TRA) and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) with the workforce to ensure they understand the hazards.
  • Ensure Lock-out/Tag-out (LOTO) procedures are strictly followed during maintenance.
  • Act as the first point of contact for any site incidents or near-misses.
  • Secure incident scenes and gather initial evidence (photos, witness statements).
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations under the guidance of Senior HSE staff.
  • Input safety data (observation cards, incident reports) into the company’s tracking database.
  • Deliver daily Toolbox Talks (TBT) and participate in pre-tour meetings.
  • Conduct HSE inductions for new arrivals to the site.
  • Promote the Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) program by conducting safety conversations and encouraging workers to intervene if they see unsafe acts.
  • Monitor contractor activities to ensure they are working according to the approved HSE Bridging Document.
  • Lead the development and review of Health Risk Assessments (HRA) for operational sites, identifying hazards such as noise, vibration, hazardous substances (e.g., Benzene, Chemicals), and NORM (Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material).
  • Oversee regular industrial hygiene monitoring and camp inspections to ensure compliance with Azerbaijan Sanitary-Epidemiological (SanPin) norms regarding potable water quality, food safety, and accommodation standards.
  • Manage the site Chemical Management Plan, ensuring Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are up to date and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) assessments are conducted for all chemicals used in drilling and production.

Tələblər

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Safety Engineering) or Environmental Science.
  • Minimum 3 years of HSE experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Proven experience in Upstream operations, including drilling, completions, subsea, or production.
  • Hands-on experience with site operations (Drilling, Construction, or Production facilities).
  • Experience with Permit to Work (PTW) systems and conducting risk assessments.
  • Working knowledge of Azerbaijan HSE legislation (Labor Code, Fire Safety regulations).
  • Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 principles.
  • Ability to write clear daily reports and safety alerts.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is mandatory.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent local certifications will be considered an advantage.
  • High proficiency in spoken and written Azerbaijani / English, Russian language proficiency is an advantage.
  • Strict attention to detail regarding rules and procedures.
  • Ability to explain safety concepts to workers in a non-confrontational manner.
